Not receiving notifications.
I have a local instance of setup. I can "send this" page to users, and I can send myself password resets. However I've subscribed to some spaces and I do not receive notifications. There are no errors logged. Any ideas?

Hmm... sounds like the mail drop host service (this handles notification emails) is not running - see if restarting the maildropctl service fixes this.

On the ISO CD installation this can be done from cynin webmin interface (at https 10000 port), or on command line by running

/etc/init.d/maildropctl stop
and then
/etc/init.d/maildropctl start

Restarting the server machine should also restart the maildrop daemon and fix the problem.

Ah, this is it. So the other mentioned mails are not sent using MaildropHost.
I'm running from a buildout, so in my case I have to edit ./parts/maildrop/MaildropHost/maildrop/testing/ and run ./parts/maildrop/MaildropHost/maildrop/bin/maildropctl .. I'll symlink that into /etc/init.d/ if we use this instance longer term.

By the way, using the entire message as an email subject line and in the URL doesn't really work so well ..

Thanks for the answer!

Yeah, we know about that long id problem - it's the Discussion and the Status message items specifically that have this issue.

Will fix this soon, thanks for bumping up that issue. :)

You could actually investigate modifying the values in buildout.cfg in your own user.cfg to fix your problem as well, the settings are there in the [maildrophost] section, methinks.

user.cfg <- cool, much better.

Hello, I have the same problem. When a new account is created, an email is sent. But I dont receive notifications from a space to which I am suscribed. Did you find out how to solve it?

Thank you very much
