I created a new wiki page in the sandbox area. I saw the like /dislike icon. I have already noticed that i am able to vote for my own content. Please show an apporpriate error message stating that you can vote your content. Usually we allow users to vote only once a session, even though i cant vote second time, there is no error message out here. Need error message for that as well. I would say nice to have to improve UEX of this community

Hello ruthsharony,

Thank you for your feedback.

Just below the like / dislike smiley icons, "My rating" is displayed with your positive / negative rating. Once you have cast your vote for an item in, you cannot rate it again. You can however change your rating from negative to positive and vice versa.

But yes, if a user tries to hit the same rating again, we could have a message displayed stating "You have already cast your vote. You can change your vote if you like".

Thanks again for your feedback, it really helps us improve :)

Hmm... good point ruthsharony. Perhaps even if we turned off the mouse pointer (and made it a normal arrow cursor) on the currently selected rating, it would have the same effect - users would not feel that it's a button that can be clicked.
