Hi Michael,

Hmm... this looks like a problem with your python installation. What distro / version are you trying to buildout on?

Please try doing this: Delete the whole buildout folder, checkout the source again and try doing buildout again, it might work if some python dependencies got corrupted during download.

Thanks for trying out cyn.in,
Regards,
Dhiraj Gupta.

I m builiding it on Ubuntu Server 9.04. Following all the steps in the Readme.txt and also installed the virtualpython.

Do I need to login to root to do the buildout? Or the whole process?

Thanks

Ah yes, that's your problem. The instructions are older than the OS. ;)

You should *not* be logged in as root during the buildout or even to run it.. Use your normal user and buildout inside any folder inside the normal users home directory.

There are dependency issues with Ubuntu 9.04 - In Jaunty and even in upcoming Karmic Ubuntu does not package support for dependencies like python-imaging, so you'll have to do a lot more work to setup the buildout on 9.04, but it *is* possible though. I recommend you setup Ubuntu Server 8.04 instead, it's way easier (following the readme's apt-get command line will work) and will have to serve, until I can make a set of concrete instructions to setup the buildout on 9.04.

Regards,
Dhiraj Gupta.

Hmmmm.... ok... I am downloading the 8.04 now. Will try to reinstall it again and see if it will work. *Fingers crossed*

Thanks again

One more question, during the buildout, it will download something from this link but I have tried it a few times and it always failed because the server timeout. The source are from http://openidenabled.com/. Could you verify it?
