Has anyone any experience of deploying Cynin for very large communities such as +500k users ?

Yes, we've got successful deployments for enterprises here with large employee and extranet user bases.

It takes quite a specialized setup to achieve the kind of numbers you seem to be targeting - the key question is how many of those users are concurrent, there is obviously no upper limit to the number of users you can have in total, but concurrent users; more specifically concurrent users who are contributing by adding and editing are the key area to work on, for performance.

Please consider approaching Cynapse for a commercial engagement for professional services to assist you with your deployment; you *will* need it for scaling to very large amounts of concurrent users.

Hi Dhiraj
We are trying to do a POC at our company and I am looking at the secuirty aspect for all the users. From the support site, I understand it is important to setup security from a space perspecitive than at the global administrator level. Is there a better way for us to handle secuirty considering there are atleast 150 groups and managing members and access in a single place(so managing secuirty going forward may not end up being a challenge) may be very useful than looking at the security of all the individual spaces. Is there any recommendation? And how is the security usually managed when there are thousands of users and groups?

Do you have any references to large scale deployments ?

We would engage directly with Cynapse for this scale of deployment but for now just getting more information.

Thanks
