One very important function for Cynin is to manage files, documents or digital assets. When creating new file with cyn now, it's only allow you to upload one file. It's not really suitable because most of our documents and files usually go together with other files for one topic. For one topic, we need several files to be uploaded at the same place. At the moment, for different files of one topic you have to create different entries for them. It's not convenient to upload, manage and view files. There's one solution of zipping all files to create one zip file so that all related file will be in one entry now. But this solution has its own disadvatage: when you want to view one file inside the zip, you'll have to download the whole zip file. It's similar when you want to edit a file. In this case, it's worse when the versioning function of cynin will store a very big version of a zip file, instead of only one small file inside.
The file management in cynin is one of the most important thing in cynin practice and there for cynin will be much more better if it enhances the file entry to host several files.
The similar thing should alsoo be done for PHOTO function. Photo is also good in cynin but now we can only upload one photo for one entry. What will happen with an album of several photos? You have have to create a lot of entries to host the whole album and when viewing, you will have to move from entry to entry to view the whole album. It's not really suitable to manage photos this way.
I think cynin should enhance photo management to enable it to upload album with several photos in one entry.

viraf Jun 07, 2010 07:33 AM provides a Zip Import. You need to go to Manage Space > Contents View of the space you wish to put the files and use the import option. Once the zip file is imported each file in the zip is treated as a "File". Alternatively you could also use the WebDAV feature to upload multiple files into

Thank you for your reply.
My key point here is that: ONE ENTRY (for file or photo) should be able to host SEVERAL FILES IN OR PHOTOS ONE PLACE. For example, this way you can host many photos of one album in one place (just like the way Facebook does with photo albums), and for one entry you can manage many inter-related files (just like a vBulleting forum, for one post you can attached several files at one place).
This is much more practical and logical ways to manage photos and files, I think.
Hope to hear from you soon.

hello... anybody can help me on this?

tamnhuthuy: This is a feature request, currently an album construct for multiple photos bunched together, is not available.
Consider adding a new feature request into the Core issue queue, here:
Alternatively, you may want to consider approaching Cynapse for a commercial engagement to build / implement your Digital Asset Management (DAM) oriented features.

Thank you for your reply and i've added a new feature request as you guided.
I think this is a logical function of cynin, a logical and reasonalbe way to manage files and photos, not a special request for my special needs.
Hope to see it soon in next version and see rapid development of cynin and cynapse.
