I must be missing something. How do I execute operations on several objects. For instance, if I want to add a new tag to 100 objects or rename an existing tag on several objects. How do I go about doing it. Similarly if I want to download several images/documents etc. to a local machine, I can't find how to go about doing it.
Any help is appreciated

I'm new to Cyn.in and my first impression is that it is a great product, very well developed and very robust as well. Can you help me to better understand which is actually the public that can take more benefit of it? Can you help me to see some real usage cases, I mean would you cite some examples of companies that already use it and what they use it for?
Thank you all.

bjho2 I'm currently looking into Cyn.in as a collaborative plattform for our office and I have a question regarding Spaces. While it's possible to restrict the ability to add certain applicatons to a Space (so that one space will only contain a Wiki for example), is there an way to make the dashboard reflect this? When I customize a space to only allow certain content, the dashboard will still look the same (i e show "Audio" although audio isn't allowed). Is there a way around this?

cynin buildout will usually follow your server timezone faithfully. Please recheck the server timezone and recheck that the *server* is running at +10GMT.Try logging in (or using su username) with the user you're running cyn.in instance with (effective-user in user.cfg) and running date on command line to get the server time.
Are you running from the source buildout or is this the community edition vmware appliance?
Further there is a setting in zope conf to change the instance-wide timezone as well.
I recommend going through these threads:
Thanks for trying out cyn.in,

I'm getting stuck in the install with the following error:
Getting section maildrophost.
Initializing section maildrophost.
Getting option maildrophost:MAILDROP_USER.
Error: Referenced option does not exist: instance effective-user
I did set a user in user.cfg as per the readme. This is on Centos5 with all the required packages installed. Any ideas how I can move past this? Or does it really only work on Ubuntu (which would be a bummer since a large majority of servers are RHEL or CentOS)?

I'm searching for a complete knowledge management solution.
But I need my customers having read only access to the content. I'd like to create some profiles (or ACL) to define which customer can read this page or this group of page or not.
And if I can define a date to date access, this will be great for me.
Can Cyn.in help me for this ? is this possible with this product ?

Sorry if this post is in the wrong space but I was hoping there's a non-developer solution to this :)
Basically, there's one particular Plone add-on for dropdown menus (http://plone.org/products/webcouturier-dropdownmenu) that I think is really nifty. Is it possible to add this (and other) Plone product to a Cyn.in instance (created via the software appliance method) via a buildout or other means ? Thank you.
