why do I get "We're sorry, but there seems to be an error… " whenever I do a search in Livesearch works fine BTW. This behaviour is consistently so on all 3.1.x installations I've tested. when logged in as an admin the error reported is: "IndexError: list index out of range "

This is probably this bug:

It's fixed for the next relase.

Yeah, the code fix is committed in SVN trunk - it's a syntax typo related to internationalization. We're just waiting to close some more promised new / updated manual translations (German, Spanish, Italian also hopefully Japanese and Italian) for packaging the bugfix 3.1.1 release.

If you need to fix it immediately, you can replace the file in your buildout folder in your live site by either building out from svn trunk ( ) or even just replacing this file ([…]/ ) should do the trick. :)
