hi there!

I'm trying to migrate "data.fs" from an old cynin server to a new one. But i can't get it to work.
I have read all the info here about the process of copy the "data.fs" and all that stuff.

I got a new server with a new cynin installation, and it works great until i copy de "data.fs" file from the old cynin server. Now i can't see the web interface from the new server.

i hope you can help me please!
some ideas!

Hmm... it's a bit more complicated than just copyng the old Data.fs file to the new server.

Follow this wiki page guide to do a proper migration: http://www.cynapse.com/comm[…]0.x-to-2.1-vmware-appliance

Thanks for answer!

I use WinSCP(Windows7) to connect with the old server and copy Data.fs, then i connect to the new server to delete all files on "home/cynin/buildout/var/filestorage". Then i transfer Data.fs

I got problems at this point:

6) Set the correct permisssions on it by using "chown cynin:cynin Data.fs"
it shows this error:

invalid group 'cynin:cynin'

I'm stuck here.
